There seems to be extreme pressure in society today to look like the next superstar and because of this, the plastic surgery business is growing at an alarming rate. Whenever we turn on the television or pick up a magazine, we are reminded of how ordinary and unattractive we are. Most plastic surgery patients care even less about the risk and more about trying to become more beautiful no matter what the cost.
When we were kids, everything was very easy for use. Everything was pressure free. Growing up, there was nothing to do but play because we didn’t have anything to worry about. Getting along with people was simple because image and look was not what we focused on as children. Our television shows that we watched consisted mainly of cartoons and those aren’t even real people. Things like going to get a checkup made use scared because we always thought there was a chance that the doctor could give us a shot with that big long needle. Fast forward five to ten years and things have drastically changed. You have become a teenager and although getting attention is still a premium, it is becoming harder to come by. Your body starts to undergo changes and you start to notice imperfections that you hadn’t noticed when you were a child. Reality TV and daily Sitcoms replace your joyful cartoons. Insecurities now consume you. You start to wonder what you can do to look more like the people you now idolize. There use to be a time when people were riddled with anxiety at just the thought of going to the doctor or surgeon, but with their new ability, these guys are now being embraced as heroes. The ability to perform plastic surgery successfully has generated a cult-like following for those who seek them out. People can now erase, cover or minimize flaws that have haunted them since their pre teen years. Now, people can get closer to becoming the person they always wanted to be. With all that can be done now, who needs to be scared of the doctor anymore. It didn’t take very long for plastic surgery to become one of the hottest trends in America. You see promoting their service is very easy because they barely have to do anything at all. You see with most products or services, there is your traditional print ad or commercial but not with plastic surgery. All it takes is for you to turn on your daily Soap Opera or morning show and you will see the end result of some of the best plastic surgery done on some of the best looking people in the world. You later read an article or interview in a magazine that describes in detail what was done to scores of actors and you decide that this is what you want done too. Without seeing a single commercial or a single ad in a magazine people have become hooked because celebrities have become walking billboards of a free advertisement for this suddenly booming business. We all know that money is a huge part of the plastic surgery business, and you get what you pay for. You can manage to get a deal on just about anything nowadays, and surgery is no exception. However, getting a bargain for a breast implant - or let’s say a face lift - may leave you with problems or complications far worse than anything you may have encountered when you were younger. There is only a small percentage of the population that is even wealthy enough to afford a very good plastic surgeon. Everyone else is left trying to get a bargain and that is like playing Russian Roulette with your body and your health. There are just far too many risks. Is the price of beauty worth all the risks that you take? Article Source: Plastic Surgery Guide This article has been viewed 630 times. Add to Del.icio.us |
